THIS IS A FREE EVENT IN KOMEDIA BATH’S ELECTRIC BAR FROM 2 – 4PM
Rowan Stuart is a singer-songwriter-guitarist from South Africa, who has recently relocated to Paignton, Devon.
He performs a signature style of ‘Story-Driven Dream Folk Pop’. From session guitarist roots, to stepping into the spotlight as a solo artist, Rowan went on to complete many South African tours, performing over 1000 shows, and supporting many of the country’s most successful pop and rock bands and artists, while releasing 7 original albums.
He achieved mainstream radio success in South Africa with several singles. Though Rowan is new to the UK, his latest singles ‘Black Hole’ and ‘Find A Way’ were both featured on BBC Introducing, and added to BBC Radio’s daytime playlist. His live show includes himself on vocals, electric and acoustic guitars and loop station, and Exeter-based Mattie James on bass guitar. For Rowan, each song is a window into its own private world, and he invites his audiences to join him on a journey, moving between genres, themes and lyrical imagery, though the concept of hope always shines through as a central theme in his music.
