Komedia is proud to take part in Bath’s biggest night of free entertainment, and will be bringing top notch music and dance to both the Main Auditorium & Electric Bar Stages from 17:45 to 22:10.

Midnight Rodeo:

Nottingham formed psychedelic art-pop sextet Midnight Rodeo broke out in 2022 with 3 singles on Brighton’s Fat Cat Records, accompanied by a relentless touring schedule around the UK, with trips to Europe, three sold-out hometown shows and prodigious slots at festivals such as The Great Escape, Dot to Dot & Kendal Calling.

Their sound is unique in its combination of a powerful groove laden rhythm section, alongside jangly guitars, theremin-esque synths, booming organs all held together with the ethereal, honeyed vocals of frontwoman Maddy Chamberlain.  Krauty & latin-esque grooves are juxtaposed with powerful psych-pop garage floor-fillers, hypnotic and chaotic in equal measure.

Blue Violet

Blue Violet are alternative indie duo Sarah McGrigor & Sam Gotley. Their debut album ‘Late Night Calls’ was released April 29th 2022, produced by Rob Ellis (PJ Harvey, Anna Calvi). Debut single ‘Undercover’ was BBC Radio Scotland’s record of the week, shortly before the band guest session’ed on the station. Follow-up ‘White Beaches’ was picked up by John Kennedy on Radio X & Steve Lamacq on BBC 6 Music who described them as ‘… a cocktail of Iain Banks and Jane Austen’. Recently the band were asked to perform a duet with The Gaslight Anthem at the Camden Roundhouse and supported Kula Shaker, Tide Lines and the Last Internationale on their UK tours. Their forthcoming sophomore album, recorded in Bristol’s J&J studios with Bat For Lashes and Hannah Peel producer TJ Allen, explores rich electronic avenues and is a unified and sophisticated update of modern British alt pop, drifting from sizzling space disco to stunning, swirling cinematic vistas.

Nothing Rhymes with Orange:

Nothing Rhymes with Orange (NRWO) – are Sam Briggs – Bass guitar and vocals, Elijah Easton – Lead vocals and guitar, Finlay Farquar-Anderson – Guitar, and Lui Venables – Drums.

NRWO are a UK Indie Rock band, with an ability to produce anthemic originals, NRWO have quickly created a passionate fan base. Tracks are packed full of blistering energy, urgent lyrics and propelling drums, receiving consistent positive feedback and gaining following on all platforms. Tracks have had multiple plays on several local and regional radio stations including BBC Introducing West in July 2023 and further afield on WRIF 101 in Detroit, USA.

Chase the Wild

‘Chase The Wild’ are a 6 piece indie rock band taking inspiration from Ocean Alley and early arctic monkeys. With their funky basslines and psychedelic riffs, ‘chase the wild’ meet the middle between Australian and UK indie music.

The Rogues

The Rogues, a 5-piece indie-rock band from Newport, South Wales. Their favourite thing about being in a band is meeting new people through gigging & seeing them connect with the music they create.
