A concert celebrating the music of Astor Piazzolla. Using the tango as his starting point Piazzolla created a unique musical style – the Tango Nuevo. This concert includes some of the finest of his quintets by a superb combination of virtuoso musicians, led by brilliant accordionist Ryan Corbett. Nicholas Mulroy joins the band to sing music by Gardel, Vargas and Ramirez – as well as songs by Piazzolla including excerpts from his opera ‘Maria di Buenos Aires’.

‘Best of all, perhaps, is Nicholas Mulroy …singing milongas like one born to it.
Exhilaratingly done, and a fine achievement.’ Gramophone
