THE LINE-UP
Grandmas House
Grandmas House are an all-female, queer punk four-piece known for their fast and raucous guitar riffs, thumping bass lines and aggressive drums. Combining their love of post punk with surfy melodies they create a completely new and catchy sound that grabs you right by the throat.
Alien Chicks
Alien Chicks are a London based post-punk power trio but their music touches on a whole mix of genres including jazz, rap, and math rock. Their songs tell a twisted fairy tale of post-Brexit Britain – a surreal social commentary packed with punchy rhythms, eclectic time signatures and nostalgic harmonies. Their youthful charisma, humour, passion, and sense of fun make for an addictively energetic live show. Alien Chicks have made their mark on the London music scene as ‘the new house band’ at the Windmill Brixton. Since their first gig in October 2021, they have built a loyal grassroots following and reputation as a brilliant live band.
OHTHEKINK!
OHTHEKINK! met through a famous internet dating platform but decided to keep things plutonic and make a sort of post-punk kraut psychedelic surf nu-metal racket. Sort of a Can, Coal Chamber, Television, Goblin and Funkadellic concoction hand shaken by the late William Burroughs and Arthur Russell. Oh and every performance is improvised - there are no rehearsed songs!
Hypothetics
Hypothetics are an innovative psych-punk four-piece band based in Bristol. Constantly refining, they are known for their hardened sound, filtered through hazy folk melodies and tortured electronics. Motivated by an intense pride they have for their music, they aren’t afraid to rewire themselves creatively to show the audience something new. Their reputation for progressive releases and hard hitting performances has landed Hypothetics shows across the UK with appearances at Forwards, 2000trees and Boardmasters. Their debut EP 'GETS LET DOWN! received extensive attention from BBC Radio 1 as well as Spotify's editorial playlists, including 'Hot New Bands', 'Post Punk' and 'Melomania', and they were included in CLUNK Magazine's 'Ones to Watch 2024' alongside the likes of Opus Kink and Fat Dog.
Bible Club
After touring in support of their debut EP, Bible Club have honed their engrossing live sound. ‘AD’ captures the band’s new direction, which Bible Club have been developing with a focus on writing new material. With a captivating live set that dynamically shifts from punchy tracks to post rock soundscapes, Bible Club’s permeating sound is a refreshing and unique experience.
