It’s over twenty years since The Wave Pictures formed in Wymeswold, Leicestershire as teenagers.
The trio of Jonny Helm (drums), Dave Tattersall (guitar & vocals) and Franic Rozycki (bass) have gone on to be one of the UK’s most prolific and beloved bands. Fond of classic rock, jazz and blues, they are also one of the most accomplished, with Tattersall’s guitar solos becoming the stuff of legend.
They have collaborated with varying bright stars of the musical firmament, from their ongoing partnership with ex-Herman Dune member Stanley Brinks, or the very close partnership with Billy Childish for 2015’s ‘Great Big Flamingo Burning Moon’.
With over 15 Albums and EPs released The Wave Pictures return to Bath after their sell out 2018 show at the Electric Bar.
Support: Reuben's Daughters
An artist of a region where alternative-pop is like a second religion Reuben Myles Tyghe, aka Reuben's Daughters has been evolving for almost two decades at the heart of the local independent scene in the South West of England. In 2022, Reuben wrote a new chapter in his musical history, with a debut album, under the name Reuben's Daughters. A sunnier, more catchy and even pleasantly heady chapter. “Mami Wata”, like the African goddess of the same name, immediately seduces by her brilliance. The album is an adventure with psychedelic and hopping tones of which Reuben and a few conscripts have the secret.
