Komedia Bath is the city’s first community-owned live entertainment venue, dedicated entirely to delivering outstanding performances in the heart of Bath.
Located inside the beautifully restored Grade II listed former Beau Nash cinema, Komedia hosts over 400 live events every year including stand-up comedy, live music, cabaret, club nights, family events, and more – offering something for everyone in the local community and for visitors exploring Bath’s vibrant nightlife.
Since opening in 2008, Komedia Bath has become the region’s leading destination for touring entertainment, welcoming some of the biggest names in comedy and music. Our ever-growing Wall of Fame celebrates our past performances and includes Buzzcocks, Joe Lycett, Katherine Ryan, Russell Howard, Greg Davies, Band of Skulls, Brian Fallon, The Mary Wallopers, Peace, Kosheen, and The Damned.
We operate two highly versatile performance spaces designed to host everything from major live events to intimate showcases.
The Main Auditorium is the beating heart of Komedia Bath, offering a fully equipped, flexible space ideal for large-scale shows with capacities of up to 780 guests.
Alongside it, The Electric Bar provides a cosy, atmospheric setting for grassroots music, emerging talent, acoustic sets, and smaller comedy nights. It also serves as our daytime Box Office and bar.

As our name suggests, comedy lies at the core of what we do. Every Saturday we present our award-winning Krater Comedy Club, arguably Bath’s best night out and a must-visit for fans of stand-up comedy. Each show features four top professional comedians, and includes free entry to The Big Disco afterwards – perfect for anyone looking for an unforgettable Saturday night in Bath city centre.
Komedia Bath operates as a Community Benefit Society with 227 members. We are proud to collaborate with many local organisations, charities and educational partners, including Bath College, Bath Spa University, the University of Bath, Bath Carnival, The Bath Festival, Bath Fringe Festival, and the FilmBath Festival.
