Four protagonists from the film The Angel's Share holding hands
Plus additional option of Whiskey Tasting with Independent Spirit after the show!

Join us for a special evening celebrating the heart-warming and critically acclaimed film The Angel’s Share (2012), directed by the legendary Ken Loach. This unforgettable screening will be followed by an exclusive Q&A session with Ken Loach himself, chaired by Glasgow born Cinema Curator Mark Cosgrove, offering a unique opportunity to delve into the creative process behind this inspiring and humorous tale.
The Angel’s Share is a charming and uplifting story of redemption set against the backdrop of Scotland’s vibrant whiskey industry. The film follows the journey of Robbie, a young man who, after narrowly avoiding a prison sentence, discovers a new purpose in life through an unexpected passion for whiskey. With Ken Loach’s signature blend of social realism and wry humour, The Angel’s Share is a testament to the power of second chances.
To accompany the screening, we have the honour of hosting an exclusive whisky tasting from 8:30 pm for just £12.50. Chris Scullion from Independent Spirit of Bath has carefully selected five Scottish whiskies, each featured in the film, for this special tasting. He’ll share fascinating stories behind these drams, capturing the essence of the single malts that inspired The Angel’s Share. Don’t miss this unique experience!
